If you'd like, i invite you to practice the following breathing rhythm... adjust as you find useful ~~~
Begin by exhaling first, initiating the relaxation response
Inhale to the count of 4
* gentle pause
Exhale to the count of 4
* gentle pause
Inhale to the count of 4
* gentle pause
(Repeat this round once or twice)
Extend the exhale to the count of 6
Inhale to the count of 4
* continue to notice the gentle pause between exhale and inhale...
(Repeat this round two to three times)
What else do you notice?
You can continue to extend the exhale to 8, 10 and so on... as you find comfortable, moving toward a 2:1 ratio
